This past weekend at the 11:00 o’clock service, there were two unique “words of knowledge” that came from Elders at North Way. For those of you who aren’t familiar with such a ministry, when the Holy Spirit strongly impresses an individual with a word picture or description of a circumstance, they come forward and submit that to an Elder or Pastor who then clears it to be shared from the platform,
We had two such words this past Sunday; one encouraging strong worship as the pathway to receiving ministry, and a second one on worship as the way to clear fear from your heart, just as a spider web is broken by a simple swipe of a broom.
My very brief description of these words cannot begin to touch the power that was demonstrated through these two moments of ministry. It reminded me that God is working throughout the church at all times and that we as His people need to tune in our “receptors” so we can hear Him speak and thus be encouraged and prepared for whatever comes our way. It was a great service for all who attended!
Blessings,
Pastor Jay
I am catching up on reading your blog,
ReplyDeleteSeveral weeks ago, I came into the room and announced to my husband with joy, God spoke to me and encouraged me, and I shared what God revealed and said "isn't that great! God spoke to me!" My husband's response, "you mean you were listening this time." He is right as you are , we are not always 'tuned in' to the God station (I don't mean the radio) to hear what He has to say and when we do listen, He always gives us something good!
