Most of our lives, thankfully, are not spent dealing with crisis or difficult matters. For the most part, we fall into a routine in different seasons of our lives that have to do with managing households, careers, companies, schooling or whatever it might be.
However, when those times of crisis come (and they will come for us now and then) it is really good to have built a foundation of learning how to seek the Lord in hard times.
The blessing of seeking Him is that you learn to discern His voice from the many other inputs that you're receiving telling you to do any number of things that may or may not be right.
In hard times, we lean on God's Word as interpreted by His Spirit to our hearts. We lean on the counsel of others and we lean on the inner peace that the convergence of those inputs bring into our lives.
I trust that if you're going through one of those hard times (as I happen to be right now) you'll know the peace that only God can give.
