One of the things that I have found to be of great encouragement to me over the years is realizing that "this too shall pass." Difficult situations and circumstances come into our lives and appear to consume our energies and thoughts and resources to the point where we wonder if we'll make it through to the other side.
In retrospect, all those seemingly impossible circumstances come, and then go and by God's grace we are given a new opportunity to resume relationships, ministry or pursue the dreams that God has for us.
Scripture talks a lot about "second chances" and "new beginnings" and those stories are there for the purpose of encouraging the many of us who are in the midst of tough times and need to know that God has not forgotten us.
