Last evening, about 600 of our North Way family were treated to an amazing evening of worship and “entertainment”. I know that the word “entertainment” can be full of baggage when it comes to Christian music, but not in this case. Flowing from a pure heart and a long commitment of walking with Jesus, artist Michael O’Brien deftly wove together songs that told the story of his spiritual journey, his romance with his wife of 23 years and several other topics that we all relate to – from coffee bars to piano bars!
If you want to learn more about Michael O’Brien, visit his website at michaelo.org, and treat yourself to some of the most creative music I’ve heard in a long time.
We ended the evening with about 30 minutes of just pure worship and to me there was some wonderful synergy between the 2 components of the evening. It felt like it was a picture of how the Christian life was meant to be: integrated, not segregated and compartmentalized.
One thing I really love about our community is that we can share moments like last night and always feel enriched by the gifts that God has given to us.
Blessings in Jesus,
Pastor Jay
