In a recent conversation with a group of our “next generation leaders” it became very clear to me that they are passionate about finding ways to introduce their friends to the community and fellowship that God has blessed us with here at North Way.
The challenge seems to be to find ways to do that that are not too “structured,” but neither chaotically disorganized!
There’s something very appealing about spontaneity when it comes to activities. The digital culture in which we find ourselves makes it easy to communicate with people when something’s happening and so all we really need to do is to give folks some space to let those bridges happen.
My experience is pretty much the same. Folks want to share in the “life” that they see in a vital community of believers, but they’re not sure that they want “church” to be the first thing that they try.
If you’re finding that true then I’d like to hear about it and some of the ideas you might have to give people a “bridge” to become part of the community that we have been so blessed to share here at North Way!
Blessings,
Dr. Jay
