Over the past couple of days, since Easter Sunday, I’ve had numerous conversations with different people about personal situations.
It’s quite interesting when you sit down with a person that you have “heard has a particular issue” and then hear the factual account of what they’ve been thinking.
Through their eyes, what may have seemed to be a very difficult situation is given new hope when you offer alternatives that release them from a narrow view of God’s sovereignty.
One man who recently lost his job was actually very positive about the alternatives that he had when we had a chance to really look at it through His eyes, and not just our limited human way of thinking.
I hope you’ll remember that in your conversations with people. Somehow, God sees things so much differently than we do and if we can go beyond the normal counsel of “seeing it through their eyes” and rather “see it through His eyes,” we have a far more likely chance of making a difference for good!
Blessings,
Dr. Jay
