For the past few weeks, I have been anticipating a very important Board Meeting for the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School extension campus that we are seeking to establish here in Pittsburgh.
As things would have it, the excellent broad based Board that we have in place had a series of conflicts arise in the schedules of several of those who were going to participate.
This created some awkwardness in me as Trinity was sending three of its top dean/officials to be with us to specifically discuss this campus and their commitment to its future development.
I took the normal route of spiritually “fretting” about how to explain the absence of several key board members to these men who came all the way from Chicago to be with us for a couple of hours.
Happily? The massive snow storm that struck Chicago also wiped out the trip and enabled us to have a reprieve as far as for us to reschedule the board meeting when all can attend along with the highly respected Trinity Representatives.
As usual, my fretting was unnecessary and added nothing to the situation. In the end, you have to learn to trust God even with such massive things as blizzards and snow storms as well as small things such as scheduling conflicts. In the end, He Rules!
I hope that encourages you to trust Him in whatever you are facing today.
Blessings,
Dr. Jay
