The Simple Things..

One of the most important lessons that I've learned (and relearned!) is that more
often than not, the Lord works in our lives in "simple" ways.
Our culture is becoming vastly complex, especially when it comes to technology
and communication; but God has not reserved His leadings to a few gatekeepers
who seem to speak over our heads.
When someone or some group presents ideas and even perspectives that they
alone seem to understand, they immediately set up an obstacle for God to use
you (and me) that He never intended.
Elijah called the "still small voice" and it's never complex. Chambers declares
that God most often leads us "in the simple things" (today's reading) and I concur.
Walking with the Lord is not meant to be complicated. It's an intimate journey
with a Friend who speaks your language if you're willing to listen.
Living that out wherever He sends you is the challenge that He calls you to
embrace by His Spirit within.
All by grace,
Jay
